Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of FlowLance, operated by The Good Ship Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use FlowLance.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
  • One account per person. Shared or team accounts are not permitted.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription & Payment

  • FlowLance is available for £10 per month with a 28-day free trial.
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice via email.
  • A 25% referral discount is available when you have 2 or more confirmed referrals.
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
  • Abuse AI features (e.g., generating spam, misleading content, or harmful material).
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from FlowLance except through provided APIs.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Use automated tools to access the service beyond the provided APIs and integrations.

5. Intellectual Property

  • FlowLance — we own the platform, code, design, and brand. All rights reserved.
  • Your data — you retain full ownership of your data, proposals, documents, and any content you create using FlowLance.
  • AI-generated content — you own the output generated by AI features. We retain no rights to your AI-generated content.

6. Data & Privacy

Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process data in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Third-Party Integrations

FlowLance integrates with third-party services including Stripe, TrueLayer, Slack, Google Calendar, and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). These integrations are optional and connected at your discretion. We are not responsible for disruptions, changes, or data handling by third-party services. Each third-party service is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

8. Service Availability

We use best efforts to maintain service availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime SLA. Maintenance windows may occur, and we will notify users of planned downtime when possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost profits or data loss beyond our reasonable control.
  • Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • AI-generated outputs (proposals, fit scores, financial projections) are suggestions only and do not constitute professional financial, legal, or tax advice. You should consult qualified professionals for such matters.

10. Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time.
  • We may terminate or suspend your account for breach of these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
  • On termination, your data is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted, unless you request immediate deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of FlowLance after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of England & Wales.
